"When we started The
Fuzztones, Rudi made us come over, like he was a
school teacher or something, and made us watch
'Riot On The Sunset Strip'. He'd have
these little seminars for the band, y'know... I
remember Michael and I grew beards one time too, and he
got really upset and he kinda called a band meeting.
And he says, 'Look, were tryin' to have
a look here...' And I said
'Oh god, mumble, mumble.' And I went into
the bathroom and shaved my beard off right there."

To this day, there are Fuzztones
fans who aren't aware of this lineup.
Many fans think of the 1984-85 band as the original.
But in actuality, there were two versions
of the group that led up to the legendary "Lysergic
Emanations" lineup of 1984.
The original lineup of the Fuzztones
began when Rudi and Deb started the band
after Tina Peel. Rudi handled rythym and lead
guitar during this time.
